Many Hands Make a Difference

Fifteen members of the Relief Society of the Latter Day Saints Duthie Hill Ward volunteered last month on a Tuesday evening, and in one and a half hours, they logged 22.5 hours of service time! We are so grateful!

Each month, this wonderful group selects a service project to spend an evening in fellowship and service to others, and we were so appreciative that they reached out to us. The women helped to fill several weeks’ worth of baggies with sugar, salt and laundry soap that are distributed twice a month to our families. They also repackaged tortillas and thoroughly cleaned up after completing their projects. Their organized and streamlined system made quick work of the tasks.

Thanks to Angie Wing, the person who helps oversee the monthly activities for the Relief Society, our Food Pantry is now listed on justserve.org, a website they often visit when seeking a new service project. Check it out if you are looking to volunteer your time!
